If you love smoothie bowls as much as I do, then you'll definitely love this one! The color of the pink dragon fruit makes this smoothie bowl so freaking pretty!!! and the perfect marriage of all the flavors and textures is why I can't get enough of it!
Here's what you'll need to make this smoothie bowl:
1-3 ounces of water or apple juice
1 - 1 1/2 cup of frozen pink pitaya (dragon fruit) or 1 frozen smoothie pack from Pitaya Plus
1/2 cup of frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 cup of frozen mango chunks
1/4 cup of vanilla flavored granola (I get mine from Target)
3-4 fresh strawberries cut into slices
half of 1 fully ripened banana cut into slices
half of 1 fully ripened mango cut into chunks
1 -2 tablespoons of Shredded coconut or hemp seeds
Directions:
Add liquid and all frozen fruit into a blender and blend for about 1 minute until a thick, creamy consistency is achieved. Pour smoothie into a bowl and cover it with a layer of granola, then top with freshly sliced strawberry, banana and mango. Sprinkle shredded coconut or hemp seeds on top.
Pro Tips:
Do all of your prep work and slice your fruit before making the smoothie bowl to avoid your smoothie from melting before you have a chance to enjoy it.
If your frozen fruit is not sweet, while blending, add a few pitted dates into the mixture (soak in hot water for 5-10 minutes before using) or add a little agave syrup.
Have to try it! Sounds yummy
