I don't know about you, but there have been plenty of times when I started working on something with the intention of getting it done, then next thing you know, I've spent several hours Googling remedies for dry scalp vs getting my work done, then I have to regroup and get myself back on track. Guess I have my Vata brain to thank for this LOL but if this too sounds like you and you constantly have trouble staying focused, then don't worry! today I am going to share with you 3 tips on how to use food, natural elements from nature and decor to help you combat stress, stay focused and improve productivity so let’s go!
Tip #1: Save heavy meals for dinner and eat fruit for breakfast and for snacks!
Why? Well because fruit is BAE!!! Fruit is the easiest food for the body to digest and it doesn’t cause you to crash like other foods do…Fruit energizes you, and when you eat an abundance of various fruits, not only are you giving your body premium fuel, but you’ll also be supplying your body with the nutrients it needs to function at its best, and when your body is functioning at its best, that means productivity and mental focus come a lot easier and stay a lot longer! Give it a try.
Tip# 2: Use essential oils to shift the energy of your space.
Aromatherapy dates back to many thousands of years ago and has proven that aromatic plant oils and other aromatic compounds have the ability to stimulate the mind, relieve anxiety, boost energy levels, and increase focus, and that’s why I recommend using them in your work space. For example, Peppermint essential oil is widely known for its invigorating, refreshing essence and it is excellent for clearing mental blocks. I'm actually diffusing peppermint and rosemary essential oils right now and they are definitely helping me stay on track so yes, please do indulge! Now if you are interested in getting an oil diffuser here's the one I purchased, and for those of you who are on a budget, you could always buy a spray bottle like this and fill it with water and add a few drops of your essential oil(s) of choice and spray your space when needed… it works wonders!!! Trust me!
Tip # 3: Mindfully beautify your space.
It is scientifically proven that the aesthetics of a room have the ability to affect your mood and your productivity, and if you are constantly being distracted by how dull and lifeless your work space is, then it’s safe to say that you probably aren’t getting much work done, so, how do you combat the office blues? Well, for starters, decorate your space with pops of color to help stimulate your mind. Add plants to clean the stagnant air and to bring life to the room. Organize your things to eliminate clutter and lastly, invest in bright lightning to increase your attentiveness and your mood!
So, with that being said, that about sums it up and I hope that these tips help you improve your ability to focus and be productive in your work/business endeavors because I know they have been life savers for me and all these early mornings and late nights I've been having lately!
